MSA Family Day * New added video (finally!)

Last Saturday the Msian Stdts Assoc had a Family day. It was held at the Tenney Park her.. Altho the plan was actually to have the event against the beautiful backdrop of the Lake Mendota, but the weather forecasts and the darkening clouds forces the committee to set up the event at the nearest shelter available, in case it rains.

And there is a small lake nearby. It was spring. And the sun is out. But why the H*** is the weather's so cold? Everyone's didnt expect it coming. The wind, is causing windchills that made the temperature nearly 0 celcius. And all of us are only dressed up in only sweaters that weren't enough. Some of us bought blankets, and cuddled warmly in it. Kinda looked liked a bunch of hobos.

The food was marvellous. Abg Khrl had a char kway teow, freshly made. The first on the menu was fried rice, and then there were the ayam percik..grilled chicken with coconut sauce. That tasted great !

The games that i had was the puzzle : we had to make a duck, and a full square .Then the toss out of rings to the head of kings. I had a video down below.

They had another event after that, but i left early cause, I was hitching a ride with Fu and Acp. On the evening, I had a nap.By the way, that morning theres a bike sale organized by the local town council . And I grabbed myself a bike - Pacific one. for just $10 . Wow that was a good one. Acp was kind enough to drive, and grabbed himself one racing bike too, for just $15. And one bike is in the car and another is in the trunk.

This is the grilled chicken . The night before, we had it marinated in tumeric, lemongrass, coconut milk, onions and garlic.

Do not be deceived, there's only one person who's doing the grilling here and he' s the one wearing the light blue jacket with the matching cap. Hehe And the same goes for this one, the real cook(s) are the one wearing the shades. This is the Annual General Meeting to setup the new MSA committee for next year. Congrats..!!

You could almost see people shivering against the chilling winds. On site chef. Abg Khrl. Steps in making the fried rice. Ist, we add the eggs, then some chicken strips. Then add soy sauce and voila!..the fried rice. Bon apetit!
