Monday

Well folks, its been another week here in JB. And the news spread fast according to the person that you obviously deliberately sent it to. Its no secret anymore I am leaving this town soon. And as far as I know I have to make a resignation letter to the department and I may be leaving a 24 hours notice.

Hopefully InsyaAllah that the place that they are offering will be much more in terms of career prospects, closer to home and family and a good starting point in my life. Hey, my parents deserved it okay. And I' sure that I should deserve it too.

The Unit Head had a meeting last Friday. And as always all specialists routinely do, the just bang the MO. And most of the minutes of the meeting will result in the MO doing this , and the MO not doing that and the MO must write some letters here and there. I dunno, I guess its all goes down to what you want inside. If being an MO makes your day, and keeps your spirit alive and kicking , then suits you well. And nope, not for me anyways. Plus the pay speaks for itself.

Today's pissoff topic is , as always, why do subordinates have to like, brag about themselves. I mean for some people, just plain talking means you have to brag about your achievements and your pay and your career and how wonderful you feel about your job and none of further education shall make you more happier than you already are right now. And how great your friends are , compared to me, and how they have succeeded here and succeeded there. And all of them are your friend. And does bragging makes a great conversation? Nope!!

So, some of the lab staff are going to go to Langkawi, instead of me. (Not that I feel bad about it, I don't!) Supposedly , I was supposed to go to Langkawi, but thinking about the long run, I shouldn't. They deserved it. The lab staff deserved it after all the hard work they have been doing.

Today is a friend's 27th birthday, around this area. And my friend generously served, laksa, nasi ayam, kuih ketayap with chicken curry, beef and chicken satay, red & yellow water melons pudding and some malay kuih.He says that, he love treating people with food, its a trait he inherited from his late father. Its nice to meet new people around. When the officemates of my friend started singing Rhoma Irama songs wholeheartedly, well, I guess its time to leave. Hehehe. Anyways, the report of the grant should be submitted by this week. I hope I did it alright.
