Escorting Ikie to Terengganu

Today is Monday. Its already afternoon. The time shows 2.55pm. Right now I am in a Transnasional Bus heading back to Kuala Lumpur.

I have been to Kuala Terengganu for one and a half day. It was great!! But surely the experience is not going to be the same with the hospitality of a local and a friend of mine, Khairil. Being here was less fun and more different.

I am sitting in the back row of the bus. I am sitting on the left to the window and Ikie is sitting on the left window. Chatting with a fellow passenger.

My headphone is playing: Push - Madonna

My stomach's full. I kept to the 3-hour diet. I had a quarter plate of rice, 2 servings of vege and a fried chicken drumstick. And to wash it off, iced teh tarik. All for RM6.20. Cutthroat price.Takaiyo!! The bus will only stop for lunch at a designated place to stop and leaving the passengers with no choice.

So, not to bore you with the details of my short journey. Ikie and I went to the Terengganu state cause he will undergo an interview in Kustem on Monday.

The view of the sea near Tanjung Bus station.

We left for Terengganu on Saturday night at 12.00 pm and arrived in Kuala Terengganu Estuary at 7.00am on Sunday. We had the whole Sunday to wonder Kuala Terengganu.
On my mind only 2 places: State Museum & Pasar Payang. I wanted to buy some batik shirt for my dad.
Based on the KT Map I printed beforehand, We searched for Jln Sultan Ismail. We stayed at KT Mutiara for RM55/night. It was worth it and they didn't charge extra for checking in early.

The architecture of the Museum is magnificent! It is like a total adaptation of the Malay Architecture magnifed at quardraple proportion. Huge!! Bigger than the Kuala Lumpur National Museum.

By the time we finished, our feet was aching so bad, my knees were shaking. Despite that, we headed to the Maritime Museum building by the river.

Trip to Terengganu and Kelantan

(Aishah, Zubong, me and Dz)

Zubong came to my lab on a Wednesday. He came with Dz. Both of them still studying in Hiroshima University, Japan . And now its their spring break.

Zubong elaborated about his plan to go to Mek Chah's wedding in Terengganu on Saturday, and I was ecstatic and I wanted to join in. Zubong also told me of his plans to go to Kelantan on Sunday. He said about his plan of staying on Friday night in Kerek's house and on Saturday night in a Chalet owned by Jeda's aunt. And I agreed to everything and I bought a plane ticket that day itself. I feel obliged to go because I was personally invited to go my Mek Chah. And also because his groom to be Wan Arif  was the person who drove the first time I met with Malaysian students in Hiroshima, besides both of them were warm and kind.
