I'm pondering..

Insurance. Is it worth it?

The insurance will act as a shield, holding point in times of need. Just in case.
The insurance that I had been introduced in the past couple of weeks had me thinking. Thinking alot actually.

The health insurance of Takaful will cover my expenses if there are cases of major road accidents, and also the 40 types of diseases and also in cases where permanent loss of ability. This type of insurance does not cover hospitalization.

The insurance will also act as a savings account. 1:1 Savings: Health. Which in another 25 years time it will gain to approximately Rm48-50K whenever I reached 55 y.o. If i regularly auto-debit RM200/month. And there is option of hospitalization benefits.

There's another one. The prudential takaful.Basically I will get a medical health card, that will cover my expenses for hospitalization and hospitalization alone. If treated as a out-patient , then I will not be covered. It also has the the savings option.

There's even the possibility of me not staying here in Malaysia in the next couple of years. And this thing will surely suck my account for the next decade or so..Imagine.
This insurance does not cover me overseas. Except in cases of death or major disablement. 90 days to the date of the visa,or departure.

Other options , please..?

Quality Day and Dinner

On the next Saturday Came the Sukaneka, Family day cum Quality day for the Faculty.
As the participant and also the organizing committee, we had a lot to hold up to. The staffs arrived early to make sure the stuffs were in place.

Alot of activities were organized such as Nature Race, Catwalk= 4 person's each legs were tied to the same coconut palm and had to walk, coconut grating = kukur kelapa, tarik tali tug-of-rope,.

After the whole day basking in the hot sun unwillingly,we came out as the overall champ..Again..Congrats...

That night was the dinner. We, the reps of bio staffs had to perform. And it was the Eidulfitri Song - Aidilfitri-Fazidah Joned song.

And thats the end of the day. And on Monday I had to go to PD for the course on Zooplankton Identification.

Quality Awareness Day

Last Friday on the 17 November 2006, the Department was honoured to be the hosts for the Annual Quality Day organization. The Department had gathered all the new staffs to be the main backbone of the committee and also as the participants of the Events that had been organized.

As such is the Quality Awareness Day which each representatives of all levels from each of the 4 departments of the faculty. Each representative will make a sketch of the progress of each department within that year .The most appropriate and cynical was from the department of chemistry which touched on the latest up to date news headlines, such as young female student having an old man as a husband, ISO jokes such as "backdated" and also sending students to Mongolia for conferences. It was utterly hillarious.

For our department Dr FA had use in lab coats wearing mice masks and tails , scenario of the mice in a cramped mice house. And then, the approval of grants came and thus wallah! We got a new house. And all of this was with appropriate sound effects to accentuate the scenes. I guess we must have been innovative so as to won the heart of judges and we won as the champ!!!

It was quite a while , when the public called and labelled us the Bio rats, which stuck to us just for a whole week.

The 1st day after Solat Sunat Eid

On the first day of Hari Raya Eidulfitri, the whole family had our Solat Sunat Eidulfitri at the nearby mosque. A mishap happened. The car tyre was punctured. And it took my dad and me awhile to replace it with a spare tyre.
You may ask yourself? What luck, this things to happen on the 1st Eid?

But it turned out, that these little things happen for a reason after all. We were of the few who were last to leave the mosque,and so came out this lady , and my mom recognized her. She was one of my mum's friend she met in Makkah. And now they're reunited. What luck. What luck indeed.

See, every little thing matters and every cloud has a silver lining if you just take some time to see it..

Invigilating Exams

On the second week of November, we were assigned to invigillate the students' exams.


Here we are with the students in this huge hall. All taking the same subject but with different groups and respective lecturers.
This exam started at 5pm and ended at 7.00 pm

Unbelievable? Believe it.

Izwan's Ceremony

2 weeks back, my cousin Izwan got hitched. The vows were exchanged in the musollah in Kinrara on Friday. And these are some of the pictures I snapped.

It was quite a ride to Kinrara. When the jemaah was complete, they perform the solah.

The gifts to be exchanged. These were custom made by the groom's mother who inherited the craftiness of her mother, my grandmother.
After the vows were exchanged, the groom goes in to put on the wedding band.
Thus it is complete.

Kempen Kibar Jalur Gemilang

It was one of the earliest days there in my new working place. The one that is compulsory for us to attend to, was the Kempen Kibar Jalur Gemilang. Every staff were packing up the big hall. There were some cyclists from the nearby Cyberjaya and some students jogging all the way. All carrying flags.

As you can see here, my colleagues flagging with the miniature flags.. Immediately after that there's the recital of the national anthem..

Ikram, Shahril, Little Brown Bear n Barney

Pada malam tu, Shahril masih ada kat Malaysia. I lak nak mencari thumbdrive 1 gig supaya senang I nak menaip kerja I. I kerja hari tu kat Serdang.Malam tu jugak I ajak Shahril ke Midvalley nak beli thumbdrive 1 gig. Dapatlah RM98 waktu tu kira okaylah..kat IT World. Sempat bawak Ikram pulak tu. Yelah my dad yang beriya suruh bawak Ikram.

Sampai aje Midvalley. Terus Shahril dukung Ikram then terus gi ke IT World tu. Then beli kejap je..Then lalu la sebelah this cute ride..Little Brown Bear, which Ikram was now quite accustomed to.( Ikram tapping the bear). Mind you, Ikram watched Playhouse Disney everyday, every night. And when Ikram watches tv, the whole house will watch the same channel.
Ikram recognizes the little brown bear, and we let him for a ride(notice the light in the pic).

Then, there's another ride, the barney. Which I didn't have small change.Its okay then, I'll just snap some pictures of Ikram riding the Barney car.

And as usual, for every moment in my life I will archive it in my camera phone images. Hehehe..
So that I have proof. hehehehe..

Lama dah tak update kan blog.
Itu lah kengkawan i kata..So untuk tak menghampakan kengkawan..I akan mengupdatekan blog berdasarkan gambar gambar yang ada pada handphone I.

Almaklumlah..kamera Minolta I tu pun..bukannya selalu i bawak ke mana mana..Sedangkan handphone berkamera tu lah menjadi teman setia..menangkap gambar the current events yang sedang berlaku..Hari hari dalam hidup I..
So setiap gambar di handphone i itu akan i caption kan ..dan letak di blog berdasarkan tarikh peristiwa @ gambar itu ditangkap..
dan hopefully boleh dijadikan cerita menarik..

Asalamualaikum,

Hari ni Ahad. Dan tidak seperti kebanyakan hari Ahad yang lain yang semestinya menjanjikan hari yang malas dan tidak produktif, hari ni adalah hari yang menjanjikan suatu perjumpaan ramai-ramai yang julung kali diadakan.


Ini semua asalnya kawan pada Azam. Geng Kisas SPM 96. Azam, Khalil, Madan, Hishamuddin. Then kawan pada kawan kawan punya kawan, menjadi kawan. At last hadir pada gathering buka posa 2006, 27 orang kat Restoran Puteri Brickfields. Rm20 jer..dan makanan pun ala ala kampung. Jem giler kat area Brickfields tu, maklumlah orang India pun nak bershopping sakan raya kan.

Ada geng UPM, UKM , I dan Azam and ada geng UITM kengkawan Hishamuddin.

Breaking fast

Yesterday was Wednesday and it is by far the most busiest day yet for me in the new Inst. First thing in the morning I had a Committeee Meeting at 8.30, to present the progress of the project and also to report the previous Higher Committee Meeting. Lucky for me the meeting was short.

Then came the impromtu schedule of Lab. Which has no proper manual. And lucky for me a handful of students in the lab. Luck maybe. Next semester who knows?

In the afternoon, there is another lab to attend to. First step meet the lecturer. Well, this time around I am assigned to alert the students of the cancellation of the lecture and printout of notes from a student's thumbdrive.And theres a story behind that incident. It took a long time to photocopy the notes and sort and clip them out. And almost 4.00 and with kind help of A and L , I managed to finish at least 90% of them. And the rest was for tomorrow to continue.And I did apply for 2 days leave during EID.


Anyways, I had berbuka posa with Rashdan and Ridzuan yesterday. The venue was at the Muslim Chinese Restaurant in USJ. I met Rashdan at the College, then off we go.

What I ordered was ShinChuan Fried Noodles with chicken, and also wantan pouches. Ridzuan had the same noodles but with mutton and some vege soup enought for 3. Rashdan had noodles with beef and also tofu with beef. The meal was delicious, and somewhat different. It tastes like Padprik but less spicy. The noodle was scrumptious and big in size. I didn't finish the wantan. And just couldn't.

After breaking of fast, we headed to then nearby Al-Falah mosque for Maghrib. We left short after that. And Ridzuan sent Rashdan to the commuter station.



Packed day and the only thing that didn't settle is the noodle in my stomach.

Sibling rivalry..

anak sedara aku ni dok berebutkan nak main radio..siapa yg lebih besar dialah yg menang..

Well it applies to all aspects of life doesnt it?Those with a greater aspect of things ; power, money wealth recognition will dominate those with a lesser degree. From childhood to old age.

This simple rule of life has so much govern us all.

Masihkan kau ingat

Dapat email hari ni, dari Ayie, tajuk dia masihkan kau ingat pastu dia letak gambar2 ni..




Ni kami tengah makan buffet McD kat CM tahun lepas. Best gak lah..sebab boleh amik banyak makanan kat situ tanpa rasa segan silunya. Tapi almaklumlah McD kan..makanan dia burger yang dah sejuk ..so tak berapa selera lah sangat. I dengar tahun ni Buffet Ramadhan dah naik harga kepada RM19.90 pulak.

Semalam hari Isnin, aku lak kena gantikan ada Dr FQ yang tak datang untuk meeting AJK tertinggi hari ni. Nak tak nak aku kena g sebab orang lain ada kelas. Kena la present apa dah berlaku /apa progress projek aku. Aku p/stat aje apa minit mesyuarat yang lalu tu. Pastu , waktu meeting aku just highlight kan aje. Ok gak..hehehe. yela aku kan tak ada kelayakan tertentu lagi..so rasa rendah diri jelah..Nanti tengoklah kalau ada kelayakan tertentu tu ..hehhee

Aku plak kena wat arrangement untuk Berbuka dengan classmate masters. Rashdan aku dah jumpa so dia nak la jumpa kengkawan yang lain. So aku ajaklah si Rpah dan Ayie tukan..tapi depa dok kekwat sangat..entah mengape ntah ler..Kot kekwat tu boleh menaikkan harga hantaran depa ka..tak tau la chek...
Inilah masa nak bertukar tukar pendapat dengan orang yang lebih berpengalaman.


So aku pun go ahead jelah bbuka posa nanti insyaAllah dengan Rashdan dan Ridzuan kat subang hari esok.


Hari ni dah 17 hari posa. Hari ni Nuzul Quran, so I cuti la hari ni. Aku tak wat apa pun. Tadi g temankan Azam g BCB kat Jalan Tun Perak. Dia g pecahkan duit untuk bagi duit raya pada sedara mara dia. Cadangnya nak g jumpa Madan kat Midval, tapi kaedahnya, family Madan datang, so tak jadila nak gi jumpa kat Midval. Aku cdgnya nak amik baju melayu kat PD tapi tak siap siap lagi kaedahnya. So just beli nasi beriyani jerlah..Memandangkan masa dah kul 4.20, so tak jadilah nak g kat Bangsar. So g beli kat area rumah aku jelah.
